Decolonize your practice, deepen your IFS skills, and honor ancestral veneration & spirituality in the therapeutic space

Being a space holder shouldn't be an isolating and overwhelming experience, nor should it force you to leave your core values or your spirit at the door.

What to expect…

Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Clinical Consultation:

Deepen your clinical skills and practices in a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can receive support with cases, unpack countertransference, and honor spiritual and Ancestral practices.

  • IFS Consultation: As a practitioner who has completed the IFS Institute's Level I Training and is actively pursuing certification, I offer specialized guidance to help you navigate Internal Family Systems concepts and attunement.

  • Parts Work in Action: Learn how to map systems, confidently guide clients through the unburdening process, track your own therapist parts in the room, and connect deeply with your own Self Energy.

  • Decolonial & Spiritual IFS: We will explore how to view parts work through a systemic lens and how to welcome a client’s spiritual practices and Ancestors into the therapeutic space in a sacred, consensual, and ethical way.

Values, Culture, & Ethical Alignment:

Build a practice that is intentionally aligned with your beliefs and a commitment to decolonizing therapy, cultural humility, social justice, collective liberation, and collective wellness.

Traditional, Eurocentric mental health models dismiss and minimize systemic oppression and its impact. We will look at ways to shift your practice toward collective liberation and wellness and genuine, culturally responsive care.

  • Decolonizing the Clinical Space : Dismantling the “the therapist is the expert in the room” belief, reframing symptoms as survival strategies against oppressive systems, and creating an ethical, human first practice.

  • Integrating Ancestral Wisdom & Spirituality: Navigating intentional, consensual, and ethical ways to bring ancestral medicine, ritual, and spirituality into the therapeutic space.

  • The Admin Piece: Learning how to document holistic and spiritual interventions using clinical, evidence supported language that honors your people's experiences while meeting rigid systemic requirements.

Private Practice Support: Foundations & Flow:

Building a sustainable practice means setting up systems that support your wellbeing, protect your energy, and ensure long-term stability while honoring the same for those you work with.

  • Launch & Logistics: Practical, actionable strategies for launching your practice and managing day to day tasks (scheduling, billing, insurance, documentation, and policies).

Community reflections

“Melissa has offered case consultations that are personalized, safe, and holistic. As a Social Worker and Healer, Melissa offers unique insights and perspectives into individual and collective intersectionalities. By weaving in spirituality and healing into her practice, Melissa fosters exploration and reflection in a manner that stretches well beyond traditional case consultations.”

-Maria Duda LCSW, RYT-200

“I utilized Melissa’s private practice set up support services to great benefit. Melissa provided a comprehensive, step by step guide to setting up a practice. She reviewed the progressive steps required, as well as made suggestions for tasks to work on along the way while awaiting credentialing responses and NPI approvals. She assesses your unique needs, your practice niche, and provides suggestions for resources to provide more hands on support, i.e. with credentialing, and gives pointers on marketing, EMR systems, and how to most effectively organize your process. She also was a great accountability partner, checking in and providing encouragement along the way to break down what initially felt like an overwhelming process into a very reachable goal. I highly recommend her private practice set up concierge services.”

Emily Foster, LCSW

“Melissa was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the process of setting up my private practice. She not only walked me through each step, but also regularly checked in to see how I was feeling along the way. Her support and guidance gave me the confidence to help other colleagues launch their own practices as well. Even after everything was up and running, Melissa remained available to answer my questions and offer continued support. I’m so grateful for her expertise and care.”
